holiday stuffs

even though it's above 70 degrees right now i'm still trying to get myself into the christmas spirit. one thing i love to do this time of year is watch christmas movies and christmas episodes of tv shows. my list of movies includes:

the original mircale on 34th street

home alone

elf

love actually

edward scissorhands

and the tv shows are the christmas episodes of:

my so-called life

how i met your mother

i've already watched all the movies over the last couple of weeks but i'll probably watch a couple of them again today. and i haven't even busted out the tv box sets yet. that will happen tonight.

i guess nothing blogworthy has happened lately. or i've just been too damn busy to write about anything. either way, i'm still here. not that anyone was wondering :)

we took the critter (nels) to the trail of lights on sunday night. it was cold and windy but i think we all had a pretty good time. you can see my pictures from the trail of lights here. 

i finished my christmas shopping this afternoon and just spent over an hour wrapping everything. sheesh, it was exhausting. i would love to blog more but i need to hit the hay.

just a reminder that tomorrow is day without a gay. sadly, since i was so sick last week i missed A LOT of work so i can't call in tomorrow. i am pretty bummed about that but i can at least do my part to NOT stimulate the economy.

i'm alive! i just haven't really had much to blog about recently. there will be lots of pictures in this post. fun, right?

thanksgiving was nice and low-key, as it almost always is. i dare say it was even a little boring. but that's okay. i took some pictures of cecily, steve, and nels for their christmas card. then i took these adorable pictures of nels in the span of about 60 seconds.

on friday we got a canon 50mm f/1.8 lens at work and i decided to snatch it up because it was so cheap. i adore it! saturday night we went to side bar and ended the night with a helldorado at jackalope.

sunday we brunched at hickory street which was fun but ended in a little bit of drama due to their horrible, horrible wait staff. but i had some delicious mimosas! 

then we went over to rachel's and had more mimosas and i took silly pictures of rachel and josh.

then i came home and slept for a million hours and woke up SICK. i thought i was sick last week but apparently that was just allergies because it wasn't shit compared to what i have now. ughhhh. i think it's just a cold but it's pretty awful. coughing, headache, achey body, lots of snot...you know, all the good stuff :(
