we need a new bar

i'm sad to say that the past few times i've been to creekside, the crowd has been pretty douchey. we're trying to think of a new bar but we've pretty much exhausted all the possibilities. i wouldn't mind going back to hanging out at side bar more except for their bathroom situation. they have ONE toilet for the women. after 11:30 there are never less than 3 girls in line for the bathroom at any given moment. i've had times where i left side bar to go next door to creekside just to pee because they have three toilets. but it's really a pain in the ass to wait in line or go next door. i don't mind beauty bar but i only like to go there if there's a musical act that i want to see. it gets way too crowded to go there for just a relaxing saturday night. i'm thinking i might have to cycle back to mugshots, where it all began. i also like club deville but their drinks are a lot more spendy than the bars on 7th. i guess we're just in a rut. and we're getting old. haha! a new bar needs to open up or something.

last night we made up a drinking game to go along with the movie wet hot american summer. i can't remember everything but here's a try. drink every time:

• the camp counselors do something bad
• a jewish reference is made
• glass breaking sound plays
• someone hooks up
• they show the time on the screen
• henry responds inappropriately to something beth has said
• amy poehler mentions the talent show
• they talk about after camp
• someone mentions mckinnley's love life
• gene says something creepy
• a body of water is shown
• the campers participate in a typical camp activity
• food is shown

so, we obviously wrote the list then watched the movie. there is probably some editing that needs to take place because it was A LOT of drinking. after the movie we headed to mohawk. i guess it was still early but we weren't feeling the karaoke stuff. the drinks were expensive and the singing sucked. soooo we headed to creekside. shocking. some trashy ass blonde girl wearing hotpants who was making out with her ugly boyfriend for like 20 minutes threw her empty GLASS behind carlos onto the dirt/rocks out back at the bar. seriously, she threw a glass? so when they were walking by i yelled, "nice manners!" to her and her boyfriend turned around and gave me the stare down. i'm really scared of you, guy in a lonestar light trucker hat. after they left carlos informed me that he wouldn't mind getting into a fight. had i known that, i would have talked a lot more shit to those people :)

random friday night

el chile opened a new location a couple of weeks ago. they don't have their liquor license yet, meaning, they can't sell booze. but they can give it away! so they're giving away 2 margaritas for each entree ordered. dana, alison and i went last night. i ordered the flautas, saying, "flautas are always a safe bet...you can't fuck up flautas." i was wrong. they were realllllly bland. i like bland food because i have sensitive taste buds, but these flautas literally tasted like nothing. our waiter asked how everything was so i told him, nicely, that my meal was not great. he ended up comping my entree so i didn't have to pay for anything. i really wasn't anticipating getting a free meal out of it, i just thought they should know (since they just opened) that my dish was not worth $11 or whatever it cost. after dinner we went to alison's and drank some more and watched how i met your mother on dvd. then we went to creekside where i ran into a really old friend that i hadn't seen in years. the funny thing is that yesterday morning i found a bunch of old yearbooks and i was looking through my kindergarten yearbook. this friend and i were right next to each other in our kindergarten pictures. so it was really random to run into him later that day. we've known each other for almost 20 years. that is insane! we also went to a party where i ran into some other old friends. i guess i might use the word "friend" loosely in that situation. it was weird. but overall it was a super fun night. too bad dana left for houston today for 6 weeks. LAME.
