day 7: a song that reminds you of a certain event
in february of 2008 my brother-in-law and i braved the crowds to see obama speak outside of the capitol. we had to park blocks away and then stand for hours waiting for the rally to actually begin. i thought my feet were going to fall off my body and i think i wanted them to fall off so the pain would subside! anyway, it was worth every painful step there and back to see obama in person. after the rally was over they played "the underdog" and now i've never been able to hear this song without thinking of that night.
