new feature!

a while back i added a "song lyric of the week" box to the side bar of this blog. that's just where i put a song lyric that i'm particularly partial to in the moment that i decide to update it. this new, (hopefully) weekly feature is going to be my "song of the week", which is different from the lyric of the week. the song won't necessarily be a new song, it might be new to me or something that has recently struck my fancy. i may post a video, mp3, or just a link to listen to the song. it all depends on what's available to me. without further ado, here it is!

this week's "song of the week" is written in reverse by spoon. i am a big fan of spoon and i'm so excited that this has been released as a single. i heard it live a couple of times earlier this year and really enjoyed it. so here's a "video" of it. i used the quotations because it's not actually a video, it's just the song playing with a low res version of the cover art for the new album, transference, which is due out january 19th. i can't wait to hear the rest of this album! i'm glad it's coming out soon. over the summer jim eno told me that they wouldn't have a new album out until summer 2010!
