i just re-watched thumbsucker for the first time in nearly 4 years. i totally forgot how great it is. and i also totally forgot that elliott smith's cover of thirteen is in it! the original is by big star and it is really a wonderful little song. wilco also covers it and sometimes i can't decide which of those 3 versions i like the most. but here's the elliott smith version for your listening pleasure.

my vote is for elliot smith. however, the one that i love is an alternte version, which sounds a little different than the one you posted here. Both are incredible though.
